Search our list of adoptable cats and kittens. The list frequently changes as new cats are rescued and others are adopted. The number of available cats can vary widely with the most adoptions happening in the summer and fall!
We recommend having interest in at least 2 cats, because there might be other potential adopters who reach out before you and adopt that cat first.
Complete the Adoption Application and include the names of the cats and/or kittens you are interested in. The Application is not binding, but simply starts the process! Once your application is approved, you will not have to submit the form again, even if you discover a different cat that interests you.
A Kitten Snatchers representative will email you that you have been approved to adopt and meet with a potential foster.
If a cat or kitten you are interested in is still available, the next step is to meet them! Typically, Kitten Snatchers will connect you directly with the foster who is caring for the cat.
Kitten Snatchers is a 100% volunteer, non profit organization. This means that all our cats are fostered by volunteers, in their homes. Meeting the cats can happen two ways: by video chat or in-person. It is up to the discretion of the foster how they want to conduct the meet and greet. The safety of the fosters, the adopters and the cats is our highest priority.
The foster will ask you lots of questions about your home life, personality, and what you are looking for in a cat. In return, you should ask lots of questions about the cat's personality, how it interacts with other cats or pets, and more. The goal is to match the right cat to the right family.
Think about it! Is this cat or kitten right for your family? If you decide yes, then contact Kitten Snatchers and give them the good news. If the cat is still available and the foster parent agrees, then we have a match! Congrats!
Our regular adoption fees include PA and Philadelphia tax:
These fees cover the cost of spay/neutering the cat, medical treatments, and foster care. All future costs after adoption are the responsibility of the owner.
The final part of the process starts with signing the adoption contract. A copy of it can be viewed here.
Once signed, you will pay Kitten Snatchers the appropriate fee based on the adoption type. Payment can be made through:
With a signed contract and payment made, you are ready to take home your new best friend! Coordinate with the foster parent for a pick up time.
Note: If you are adopting a kitten, they are only allowed to go home with their adopter after the spay or neuter surgery is complete. Even if you complete the paperwork and payment, you will have to wait until after the surgery.
